SPEAKER BIOGRAPHY

Julie Curtin, Director of Homeownership;

Champlain Housing Trust

Julie joined CHT in October 2021. She was most recently the Chief Operating Officer and interim Chief Executive Officer of Downstreet Housing and Community Development in Barre. Before that, she was Director of Legal Services at the Vermont Land Trust. She has also worked for Legal Aid of Los Angeles and The Nature Conservancy. Julie is a licensed attorney and practiced real estate and affordable housing law for 15 years, including four years with a boutique firm specializing in low-income housing tax credits and other affordable housing transactions.

Jaclyn Marcotte, Associate Director of Homeownership;

Champlain Housing Trust

Jaclyn has been with CHT for over 15 years and has extensive experience and knowledge of our shared equity program. Jaclyn is a national leader in the community land trust field and is sought for her technical assistance on everything from marketing shared equity homes, data management and stewardship. She has played a key role in the project management of our two most recent new construction projects, including Butternut Grove Condominiums in Winooski, VT, which was financed in part with NMTC equity.
